Reader's Poll: Nominate Your Favorite FRIED CHICKEN

Zach Brooks

It's time for the 2009 Midtown Lunch reader's poll, and we're soliciting for nominees. To nominate your favorite FRIED CHICKEN in Midtown just post it below. (Just remember it has to be under $10, and be within the ML boundaries.)

Discussion is welcome, but please limit actual nominations to one per person (but you can nominate as many places as you'd like in your one post.) Official nominees will be announced, and voting will begin on December 16th.

NO COMMENTS?!?! Please people, I need guidance. My go-to place at the moment is KFC on 42nd.

I'm nominating the Cravings truck because of the sheer amount of food for the money. Personally, I prefer a thicker coating on my chicken. Any other places I should hit up?

    Popeyes FTW!

Cravings' chicken alone just doesn't cut it so I'm not voting for them. I'm not against them either since their food is decent but their chicken is not praiseworthy. It's their meat sauce with mustard greens that deserves the credit. Plus at $7 bucks, it isn't much of a bargain. More like a you-get-what-you-pay-for feeling to me (until my lazy cheap-behind realizes Chinatown travel should be initated...)

Yeah...I'm probably influenced by the fact that I went there on the $5 special day. That seemed like a real bargain.

Piece of Chicken. For the price and quality, worth walking a block or so out of bounds.

  6. Atomic Wings, as someone posted on the main wall a few months ago.

  7. unfortunately, there are no decent fried chicken places in my area (55th and Park) so I have to go w/ the Fried Chicken cart on 55th and madison..

    anyone have other suggestions?
