    non-Happy Hour:

    Gingerman, Stout, Rattle & Hum

  2. stevenp

Rudy's, hands-down, where every hour is happy hour!

I am going with stevenp's suggestion on this one. I've always heard of Rudy's since I moved here, but haven't gone till it was featured on here. My life has changed completely. Though when I go, I like to bring my own mustard.

Turtle Bay on Weds for their $1 pony beers always deserves a nod. Too bad it's always so crowded.

    In this order:
    Judge Roy Bean
    Jimmy's Corner

  5. stevenp

Not in Midtown but easily accessible (F/V/B/D/A/C/E @ West 4th) is 1849 on Bleecker. Half-price beers and well drinks and excellent 20-cent wings every day 3-8 pm, all day&night Sunday/Monday. Paying $5 or more for a pint sucks.

  7. Rikki.. not the cheapest, but good food & drinks

Kcijones: are you trying to say something? Learn to read: the post and description above do NOT limit nominations to midtown for this category (unlike most others). Being snarky sucks when you're wrong, eh?

Is that really the case StevenP?

If so, are we going to be nominating Mexican, Chinese, Sandwiches, Felafel, Fried Chicken, and Coffee that our out-of-bounds? Or was Zach just inconsistent with his titles?

  11. Zach Brooks

Sorry I didn't clarify... it should be in Midtown (ideally the best of the places Mamacita has written about)

Stevenp: go grab a beer. You sound a little stressed out to be spitting attitude on a food blog. Though the description doesn't explicitly define the boundaries, I think it's assumed to be within midtown lunch boundaries. It might have been accidentally left out because it was one of the suggested topics. Otherwise, why not just start naming bars outside of New York?

I once had too much to drink (I tried to use an adjective like s#!tfaced, f#<d-up, obliterated, trashed, wasted, whatever, but none were sufficient) at Port-O-Call in Salt Lake City Utah. They had a lot of pool tables, and live music. I've always had a fantastic time there.
