Rafi cart??

mkim1206

There is a cart right next to my office building called Rafi. I don't know if this is a chain or not but i've seen it here and there. What's your though on this place? I may try this place today.

Rafiqui's is a chain of carts. Not terrible, but not amazing.

    mkim - whats the location?
benben - mkim said 'rafi' not 'rafiqui' (I read it as rafiqui at first too). Not sure if it's the same...

So if the Rafi cart seems to have decent lines, that means the food is worth waiting for and probably does enough business that the food isn't scary (repeat customers, food turns around rather than turns bad).

The places I'd go to if I were on 40th & park are:

Oh, comments on the forums can be edited (just saw that edit link). I don't see that on the main site...

wow, adam...anyways, i am pretty new to this cart thing thanks to midtownlunch.com and if i get sick eating from any of these places, you will hear from me..lol

That is a rafiqui's cart over there. I think you'll get fairly consistant food from them, but i'd try some of the places suggested by adam.

Also you can do Indian Deli, Treats Truck (t&th), Kati Roll, etc.

I say try Rafiqi's once if you must and PASS. Plenty of better halal vendors.

XPL is a good truck to hit up for chicken/lamb with rice.
    Madgy's has a decent cheesesteak.
And if you're willing to go to 49th & 3rd, there is the El Rey Del Sabor cart.
