it's different.... not my style though. I grew up eating the 'traditional' kind. This is more...Americanize.
House special:
1) it doesn't have the daikon radish.
2) They dont use the head cheese, or their head cheese isn't what I'm use too. I didn't taste the pig ear. I look like head cheese but didn't taste like it.3) ... I dont remember the ham but it seem like they use some other meat. the same meat they use in the bbq one.
BBQ Hoagie
1) it's some other meat than what I expected. Out of all the bbq Vietnamese hoagie, this one uses a meat that I've seen before but it was more a 'supporting' meat. I'm not sure how to explain it.Overall, there is no such thing as a BAD vietnamese hoagie EXCEPT for the place near geno's... but that's another story.
This place...the lady seem friendly and cool, they use a lot of meat, but the price is a little more than the average cost.

I happened to find myself in Center City today. Wandered and passed the famed QT Vietnamese. I've been craving a bahn mi for weeks. I got the House Special and it did not dissapoint. $4.95. Do yourself a favor and get over there.
