Pre-Theater Lunch with the Family?

pshinnyc

Anyone have any suggestions for a good family friendly pre-Theater lunch (I got suckered into taking the kids to see Mary Poppins this Sunday). On my list of possibilities is Five Napkin Burger and Schnippers. Any other suggestions?

I like 5 Napkin and there are a LOT of Thai options in the area too like Yum Yum.

Steve wants another Eater shout-out. What an attention whore.

I point everyone to Becco. Reasonably priced and decent food, esp for Hells Kitchen.

As an american of italian descent, growing up in bensonhurst and eating tons of italian food (so much so that I almost never eat it as an adult), I can vouch for Becco. I'm almost always disappointed when I go out in manhattan for italian food, but Becco has always been great IMO (and the O's of people I've gone with).

Thanks all for the suggestions, but I'm quickly concluding that ML readers are likely childless and not really clued in on "family friendly". For kids who eat basically three things (hot dogs, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese) all the places suggested would seem to be better for a meal without the kids. But I am appreciative of the suggestions and plan on trying some without the kids some day.

then go to FNB but not all kids just eat the things you mentioned.

oops. i totally missed the "kids" part of the thread topic. hahaha. what about junior's or john's pizzeria? isnt there a patsy's around there too?

pshinnyc, take them to Dave & Buster's, ESPN Zone, or Dallas BBQ then. If you want sorta family-friendly dining but more appetizing, Carmine's or Tony's DiNapoli should work too.
