I just saw that same episode of Best Places to Pig out. I hate myself of never hearing of Eagles Deli when I lived in Boston.

Since the Diamond Dairy is no more, does anyone have any suggestions as to where one might find good latkes for Chanukkah? I'll be having the ones my mom makes (if I'm lucky) on Saturday, but I'm hoping to get my fix a bit earlier.
I know that the Carnegie Deli makes them, am hoping to avoid that place, due to the prices and tourists.
Has anyone tried them at Cafe Edison? Should I aim for Sarge's or the 2nd Ave Deli (I haven't had them there since they moved uptown, but I remember they were the size of a dinner plate.)
