Poor hygiene at the Joyride truck

i cant imagine any street cart/truck is really that sanitary

Most of them actually pride themselves on being very sanitary actually. For instance...while waiting in line for Schnitzel and things (approx 20 minutes)I saw the food prep guy...who happens to be the ownwer..change his gloves at least 5 times.
I know most of the trucks also have people where their only task is to place the food in bags and handle cash. Bistro Truck, Eddie's Pizza and Korilla are good examples. Actually the Korilla guy isn't een allowed in the cooking area...takes money from the front seat of the truck!! LOL
But there are those that are one man operations unfortunately. Jamaican Dutchy (on some days), Papa Perrone to name a couple...that's not to say that their food is bad...just sayin' - one man ops! -
@NYCtrucksNcarts: I agree with you that a majority of the modern trucks practice good sanitation. Which is why I was surprised to see the operators of such a fancy new truck act so dirty. There were 2 workers in the Joyride truck at the time, and they were not at all busy (around 3pm). In any case, in my book, unsanitary practices are never acceptable. Counting off bills and change with bare hands, and then handling fresh fruit with those same bare hands is a pretty filthy thing to do.

Maybe there is a hand sanitizer pump in the back. i had to use it every time i flew solo at yolato. my hands were dry as shit but were bare all the time. and no one ever complained about the hygiene.
also.
Thousands of kids died from polio every year. But you know something? In my neighborhood no one ever got polio. No one! EVER! You know why? Cause WE SWAM IN RAW SEWAGE! It strengthened our immune system; the polio never had a prayer. We were tempered in raw shit!

Sadly, I've seen Wafel & Dinges do the same. i say sadly because many people like them, myself included. the guy will handle money then prep your wafel. at least i've seen it a couple times, even though there are a few guys in there.

Agreed about Wafel & Dinges. I have actually been waiting on line and then left because of the poor hygiene practices I observed there. Among those are handling the raw wafel dough and then immediately touching the cooked wafels.

The guy cutting up strawberries with his bare hands is also handling money. A lot of you don't mind this, but I think it's terribly poor practice. Sorry to report this, because I like their coffee, but I just can't stand seeing crap like that.
