So with Passover ending soon, I am jonesing for some pizza real bad. I must admit- I am quite picky. Where do you go for your favorite slice?

Anywhere in NYC, even 99 cents. ;P
Well, usually local joint or chain. I like pizza a lot!

Maffei's is pretty reliable, and in spite of the hype, Artichoke Basile's makes a darned good margherita slice. C'mon back up to NYC for your pizza fix, Jaime! (I've discovered it's only $14 and less than 2 hrs on the comfortable Bolt Bus.)

screw bolt, those guys block the whole block near my office. the people waiting to get on just take over the sidewalk, grr.

Well, I stood politely against the building, not obstructing things. I cannot say the same for my fellow passengers.

Did you ever hear of water balloons? If you need a bit of distance, lacrosse sticks work amazingly well. (Things I learned in college.)

sounds like something we should do for the next ml gathering! i don't have a lacrosse stick but i do have exercise bands and some duct tape.

as for pizza.... oh wait i just realized this is a Philly thread. sorry!

Haha. I know this is a Philly thread. I'm not brain dead...yet. But I saw NO replies to it so I suggested NYC!!!

not in philly that's for damn sure.

@ stevenp- it is rarely under 2 hours thanks to traffic and inept drivers :-( and not close enough that I can pop in during lunch

@ kc and streetmeas- trust me, NY pizza tastes like love to me- I am into the classic no frills NY pizza, though dollar slices do in a pinch and Artichokes is divine while intoxicated. I really liked Pizza Suprema by Penn Station.

But this doesn't help! I need my pizza fix asap!

Is Pizza Suprema the place inside Pen Station, down in the circular area by the Amtrak platforms? That place has really good pizza. (And large beers, cheap!)

C'mon Jamie, there are plenty of good law schools in NYC. And those Philly lunchers are just leaving you hangin', a pretty quiet and boring group it seems.

Definitely can't beat NY Pizza. I'm all about no frills so I'm content with cheap slices but not opposed to fancy pizza either when in the mood. Never been to Pizza Suprema. You should defintiely come back soon if you miss it.

As for Philly, Cheesesteaks, yes, but hell no on pizza slices. Go eat a Pizza Steak! Will that work? ;P

@steven nah- it is on 8th ave (413 8th Ave to be exact) next to the cheesecake place.

Don't be hating my city and my lunchers! I love it here; Philly is charming and full of good food. Though we may not have as many active lunchers, the ones who are around are really helpful, adventurous, and all about the brotherly love.

I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with watching the soup dumpling video... again and again.... [Creepiness solely for the benefit of Mamacita and Yvo!] There does seem to be an interestingly yummy food scene in Philly.

Wow. I've never thought about it before, but I've never had pizza in philly. The closest I've ever come was a pizza steak at Ishkabibbles.

What section of philly are you looking in?
