Pew pew pew.
It's 4 dollars for ambiance.
-
four extra bucks for me to cram my fat ass in a restaurant the size of my apartment?! no thanks.
-
The one located in Hell's Kitchen is actually spacious and very nice for a Pio Pio.
I ordered take-out from them on Sat but the one in Jackson Heights. They don't deliver. Still 10 around me.
I think their chicken is alright but not really worth sit-down pricing unless friends insist upon it for dinner.
-
its something i need to pick up for a party. I thoroughly enjoy their chicken, but i found the $4 difference to be odd.
-
Just do take-out then. F-sitdown.
-
no that is what Im doing, but im just curious to know why the difference. Thought maybe it was a typo. Are the sizes in chicken different?
-
Doubtful. I did sitdown once at Hell Kitchen's. Looked the same to me and their birds aren't huge.
I meant don't ever consider sit-down. lol. Why pay to eat in-house? I would rather save the $4 too.

well, aside from the minor savings they get (time saved dishwashing, relieving waitstaff workload, etc) they also get to move chicken a lot faster. keeps the stuff fresh. this isn't the actual strategy but is one of the perceived benefits of the strategy.
other things to consider:
-- the demand is too high and they want to curb the wait time for dine-in customers by using restrictive pricing.
-- the quality of the food for takeout is usually a lower than dine-in due being cramped up in a box and suffering a 20+ minute commute back home.
-- in the time it takes for you to be fed as a dine-in, they could have filled 1 and a half orders for takeout.
-- you really do pay for 'ambiance.'
-- they could be testing out a new model for a takeout only operation. -
ok cool...so eff dining in.
-
You are paying for the service . . . and the extra green sauce. They seriously need a place in midtown that serves the fried hotdogs and french fries side dish.
-
So subtract the $4 from their tip? LOL.
Salchipapas is okay. Fry your own taters and hot dogs at home. Save the dough.
Their mayo-based green sauce probably the best item they got going for them - goes well with the rice and the chicken.
-
I recreate my own at home but replace the french fries with perogies. yum
-
We have a Polish place in JC too. It's run by this 80 year old woman who makes everything by hand, the perogies are the best.

Was hoping someone could answer this for me. On the delivery/takeout menu a whole chicken is $10 and on the dine in menu its $14. Know why that is?
