I hope you didn't end up paying the extra dollar. Maybe if enough customers just walk away after getting this treatment, leaving behind more than one dollar's worth of unsold (and now unsellable) food, they'll consider revising their policies to not be such dicks.

We all know Pax serves unoriginal, overpriced deli food. Well, thought I'd give it another try considering they've been hawking $1 off coupons all over midtown, making a decent salad under the $10 requisite. 52nd St location made a big stink about it and wouldn't even take it! Said I had to show it to them before they typed in my order in their computer or else it was invalid. What? They do what all midtown lunch places do and of course, have the amount already typed into the register so they just have to swipe your credit card, so I wasn't even given a chance to show it to them. They said it was "too late." Another reason why this place sucks. Don't let them fool you with their fake $1 off coupon.
