Non-alcoholic happy hour option in Midtown?

A colleague asked me to post this in the forums - Let's see if anyone has any insight:

A "recovering" friend is joining my co-worker and a group of three others for an after work gathering in Midtown today. These individuals want to respect the attempt of their friend to avoid alcohol. Does anyone know where a group of young professionals can go to unwind without intoxication? Coffee shops? Oxygen bars? Storytellers?

I'm the worst person to ask for advice on options that don't include alcohol, which is why I'm bringing it to you!

Karaoke? It's true there's alcohol available, but if you get a room, and no one orders alcohol, it's safe.

How about shooting some pool or playing some ping pong?

whew, from just the title I thought you had turned on me Goats!

Well, why not a nice restaurant? Something with maybe live jazz or something. When you can't drink you can at least eat. Hagi might be fun. The food is unique, very lively, lots of small plates to order. Bourbon Street Grill for New Orleans food and atmosphere? Grab some food, waters, coffee and hang out on the Metropolitan Museums rooftop?

  11. A few weeks ago I had a great time with 3 people at ESPN Zone. I had never set foot in the place before, but there were free game cards handed out at the Taste of Times Square. They have a happy hour deal, so games are actually reasonable. We did not get food or drink, but spent over an hour playing games.

Can we kill this "non-alcoholic happy hour" thing already? It is a blatant oxymoron, and people who don't drink at all should stick to other harmless activities, like knitting and gardening.
