something on the nicer side? or quick?

Looking for a sit-down place, but not too pricey. He really likes sushi - I thought of Sushi Yasuda. They have a good lunch price but still a bit too high. So I'd say on the cheaper end, but can go over the ML bar.

Thanks Steve. I'm not sure he's a big fan of Ramen (though I am!) but I will definitely suggest it.

Go north to 54th & 2nd...Takesushi. You won't be disappointed.
Closer to you, there's aburiya and sakagura, but those run on the pricier side.

i was at aburiya last week and have a new found love for the place. id say aburiya > sakagura.
Pera is a pretty good mediterranean spot for drinks & tasty apps. Ammos is decent for greek food. both of those spots are right by grand central.
Sushi Ann is around rockefeller.. Sushi den is also pretty good.

Tsushima on 47th between Lexington and Third has great, affordable sushi and good specials. Donburiya (rice bowls, lunch sets) is also on that same block. I think lunch runs about $20 per person, with tax and tip included.

Thanks everyone! I went with Radiant Pig's suggestion since it was right between both offices. The sushi was fantastic! They have a 3 roll combo for $15.50 (comes with soup and salad). They also do a 2 roll combo for $12.
The choices were great. Usually is just veg or salmon / tuna / yellowtail and maybe a spicy tuna. At Tsushima there were plenty of good spicy options, including spicy scallops!! The quality was excellent.
Although above the ML range, it was perfect for what we were looking for and we crowned it our official new spot.
Thanks again

I'm meeting a friend in a section of Midtown I'm never in. Can you give some suggestions? Anywhere in the area between 2nd and 5th & 44th & 49th. Anywhere leaning more towards the Grand Central side of that "box" would be ideal.
Thank you!!!
