that's the best.

Technically Jersey City is south of 14th street :P We have a Grand Sichuan.

Definitely Grand Sichuan St. Marks. That's probably your only option.

Yeah, I actually like certain Grand Sichuans quite a bit, and though it's been awhile since I've been to the location, St. Marks is supposed to be one of the better ones. Just stick to the non-American part of the menu, and get used to your Ma Po not being half leeks like S. Gourmet.

If you're looking for something more along the lines of Szechuan Gourmet and Wu Liang Ye, then you might want to try Famous Sichuan. It's not quite as good as the midtown restaurants, but it's a lot closer than Grand Sichuan.

Help!!!
I changed jobs a month ago and have pangs in my heart over the loss of my beloved Ma Paul Tofu, Double Cooked Pork Belly, and other great dishes and Szechuan Gourment. I now work on 11th between University and Broadway and have been slowly trying every Chinese restaurant claiming to be Szechuan. My best option so far seems to be Grand Sichuan on St. Marks which I have yet not tried because I am fearing the heartbreak.
Any other suggestions??
