No, but I've had them in person and they are excellent. I don't know if the olive spread, bread, etc. would survive shipping very well.
-
apparently then dry ice ship it. I REALLY want to try one
-
if they keep the ingredients separate, it should be ok.
-
frozen reconstituted muffaletta? hmmmm... Best bet is to take a small vacay to NO. It'll be worth it!
-

Go Cups for all!!!

I hit up serio's in NO last April the one lunch i got to have there. It was good, but not THAT good. Should have gone to central grocery instead. (i picked serios b/c of the flay throwdown).

oh, and I brought half back on the plane---it travelled well.

you pop-culture junkie, you! Central is the venerable institution, no substitutes. (Like Acme for oysters)

The fact that New Yawk City folks have to mail-order decent food from the South (NOLA) speaks volumes about the cubicle-dwelling folks who think that they are the CENTER of the culinary universe.
Carrion on, all you "computer analyst" folks/
Oh, yeah, and have a happy 'St. Paddy's' day since all intelligent Irish folks now avoid NYC like they avoid the plague -- LOL.

Speaking as a native Southern Louisianian, do yourself a favor and call my friends at Bourque's Grocery.

Muffeleta's don't ship well, but the Jalapeno Sausage Cheese Bread does, and their chicken boudin is amazing.... hog head cheese and stuffed chickens are also amazing.

Since everyone seems to be shilling this thread I will too. My uncle is an executive officer of Horizon Foods and their frozen meats/fish are the best "hand to food god"

All hail bourbon marinated steak!

So who's actually mail ordering the Muff?
I want a piece of that Central Grocery sandwich too.
