SHILLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!
oh wait.
nevermind.
-
I'll shill you!

I think most of the mid to high end Italian restaurants would have it on their menu. I remember seeing it on Convivio and Alto's menu. A restaurant like Del Posto, Insieme, Hearth, Scarpetta, etc would probably have as well.
-
I want to buy it though...Have you seen it for sale anywhere? I want to offer it with my cheese/meat platter on sunday.
-
April Bloomfield served it at the James Beard House when I went last fall with some pork. I asked her how she made it. She said that was the one thing she actually had brought in. I was a little embarrassed after than.
How about Manganaro's on 9th Avenue?
-
I think Murray's cheese has some.
-
I saw some on the 3rd floor of Jack's 99 cent store.
-
ohhhh!! AWESOME!!!! THANKS NOM! which jacks?
-
Probably the K-town one....there is one on 40th, but I never knew that.
-
Yeah, the one on 32nd street. When I was there last week, I saw some jars of mostarda to the left of the registers on the 3rd floor....next to the refrigerated section. It was by the other condiments.
-
Go to the third floor of Jack's on 32nd between 6th and 7th. On the display opposite the cash registers closest to the refrigerators, you can find real mostarda preserves. In bocca al lupo, y'all.
-
awesome..thanks friends.

@Steve: You went to the James Beard House with some pork?
Manganaro's would have no idea what it is since mostarda is a northern dish, especially from areas formerly under Austria rule, such as Milan.
