Damn, that looks great! I want a chorizo, egg and cheese on a roll now. It's gotta be better than any of the expensive delis in the neighborhood. I really like chorizo. I even had the breakfast burrito at Qdoba's that has chorizo, egg, and cheese in it.

Thread jack since the title seems to inquire on where to get a good breakfast in midtown versus the posters intent to inquire on this one cart.
Being a New Yorker where giving my opninion, wanted or not is a given right...
I am going to throw DQ Cafe in here on 7th ave between 37th and 36th where Pow Wok used to be (that sushi place next to liberty travel on the corner)
They take forever to make a breakfast wrap, but they have an attention to detail that has yet to be seen. Breakfast service is slow, but the price is right and worth the wait. Nice anf freiendly service.
Other mentions...
standard BEG sammy at Bravo Pizza 36th/6th corner
Zaro's 37th and 7th going towards Broadway. good bagels....toated or not toasted
Fuji Bakery on 35th between 7th and 8th...pork buns and rocky custard buns! Into Congee?
Alpine Deli on 7th and cross of 36th. ITs on the corner. cash only.
Red Star Cafe on 7th and 39th? Good lb/breakfast buffet.
as you can tell I am partial to 7th since I work in the vicinity.

I've been partial to the local griddle-equipped coffee/bagel cart, which serves tasty egg&cheese sandwiches on a roll or bagel. There are several around midtown, but I haven't scouted them out specifically. (I believe there's one on the NW corner of 40th/7th.) I'll give a heads-up to a fast-food option, namely Burger King. They have a decent breakfast menu with very cheap and filling options that are pretty tasty. For example, they have a $1 ham-and-egg sandwich, a few other dollar items, breakfast 'sliders' with bacon or sausage, cheesy bacon egg wraps, etc., along with the standard croissanwiches and the scary big omelet sandwich. There's a BK on the east corner of 40th & 7th Ave with this breakfast menu.

That said, the EggsTravaganza cart food looks pretty darned good!

I was going to mention BK, but felt somewhat embarrased. I will say for $4.97, that #4 combo of hasbrown /tater tots, 2 cheesy bacon wraps and a Hi-C fruit punch usually fills me for the day. The one on 7th between 35/36 is pretty good in the early AM..

my question as a profiled luncher was always going to be about breakfast sandwiches but I've been preempted.
