El Ray Del Sabor does them I think.

El Ray makes chicken tamales with green sauce. They are $1.50 and pretty good

I was buying tamales around 54th and Lex on Mondays and Fridays from a guy who spoke no English. He had a little two wheeled granny cart that contained a cooler wrapped in a black plastic bag.
He charged $1.10/ea...chicken or cheese....they could be wrapped in two different types of leaf wrappers depending on which you bought...one was green, the other was yellowish, probably corn husk.
Both were good, I thought the cheese had better flavor. He was always selling them between 7-8:30am
I haven't seen him in about a month since they were filming a movie and must have kicked him out or maybe he got busted.

There is a lady who sells Tamales right outside the Mexican Embassy on 39th b/w Park and Madison. $1.50 each.. pork, cheese filled. pretty good.

If you are willing to go a little out of bounds the Leon Bakery on 9th and 48th always has Tamales in 3 or 4 different varieties. I think they are $1.25 each or so.
