Thinking carnivore and less ethnic (his tastes are pretty simple).....American, Mexican, etc. Thanks! Anthos might be a wee bit on the expensive side, but one to keep in the pocket for when it's on somebody else's dime.

Quick question for Midtown Lunch crowd - I'm looking for something a notch or two up the pyramid from most of the venues profiled here. Can anybody offer some great recommendations for sit-down places in midtown Manhattan to take my father who is going to be in town? Many thanks in advance!
