you going after reading sifton's review? for the most part, the place doesnt get THAT packed. you def want a table? bar seats are usually pretty easy to come by.

Screw Sifton! I'll make my own review. NO, but seriously, after that review i know he
s got issues with their music selection...

    Michael Psilakis does not approve.

hahahahahah. his review was pretty harsh. i havent been back to mia dona since psilakis left (pure coincidence, not with purpose), but seeing as it's a block away from where i live, i'm sure i'll be strolling on by pretty soon.

what? when did psilakis leave it? I wanted to go last year, but i heard it wasn't up to snuff.

mia dona...not bad, but not good enough in a neighborhood with plenty of good italian food at that price range. Recommend you try Nanni's on 46th b/w 3rd & lex.

speaking of good italian, had il gattopardo last week. very much enjoyed it. really really amazing service. and i usually don't give a poop about service.

no, it was BAD..I was so swollen from the salt in the food (and i love salt; i put salt on bacon) that my feet were swollen to about two times their normal size. It actually hurt to walk. The service was super shitty (waiter came to our table for the first time and asked us what we wanted to eat before he asked us what we wanted to drink or tell us the specials). It was hot as hell in there as well. The place was empty and there was no music playing (ha). I wont go back.

wow....... so it sounds like things have gone downhill there. it definitely wasn't BAD when i went.

Not sold on Sifton yet, but he's getting more and more accurate w/each review. I *really* miss Bruni's writing style. Sucks to hear about din.

    Mia don't wanna :(

its wasnt what i expect from a simple pasta dish. THe "bar" scene seemed to be a hot spot though.
