I stick to Menupages for what it was meant: menus.

Menus too. If you need recommendations, ask friends and read more sources. Yelp, this bad boy here if it has it, and other blogs/ food reviews.

Yelp can go suck a duck. Their reviews are just as retarded. I don't care if you had a really great date here, please tell me about the food.

i like yelp. :( hahaha. but i agree with yvo.. all i care about is the food. if the food sux, 1 star from me.

I like Yelp too (Way WAY way better than MenuPages reviews). But agree if they start whining about their date night, SKIP! If they talk about service and FOOD, then you're getting my attention.

Not a place to find reviews, just a place to search menus!

People actually read the reviews on menupages? Con

i do, for laughs...

Yelp is horrible. Uneducated people (yes, only ftmp) telling me their food was "good" or "bad". Blech. Add that to the rumor mill about Yelp trying to extort money from businesses to make bad reviews go away, and "Yelpers" trying to extort businesses for free stuff in exchange for a good review (like a Yelp review should mean something), and they're dead to me.

in all honestly, i dont really trust anyones review...food, movies, etc. What i love, one may hate...
-
^^^ my sentiments exactly. nothing beats having your own opinion.

I def. don't like the same things that Dave likes. Scat you! and let us read yelp in peace. Haha.
That really sucks though - extortion and demanding food for positives - those f'king low-lives!
Definitely have to try a place yourself to see if you like it or not...
-
I agree with Yvo and Dave... don't really count on Yelp much.

Ever in a search for decent lunch items, I often find myself looking at menupages for options. The last couple of times, I have been sorely disappointed in "4 star" rated lunch spots.
The last one I tried, Kiku "Japanese Sushi" was so bad, it is shocking the positive reviews this place gets. I truly can not see this place worthy of 1 star.
This seems to be a reoccuring theme with menupages. Tread carefully, your stomach will thank you.
