Wow...an illiterate stalker who does his banking at McDonalds. What a catch!
-
Zach, what are you doing scoping the Missed Connections on Craigslist?
-
Seriously, is it just me, or at least if you're going to post a MC or even a personal ad, PROOFREAD???
-
Yea, why is Zach checking out craigslist? And then that thing about Tom Cruise...
-
Craigslist is full of hookers! LOL Epsecially the W4M!
-
do i detect some bitterness Goats?
-
@ Steve: Not bitterness, but disgust!
-
Banking at McDonalds isn't dumb. IIRC the ATM only charges $0.99 wheras midtown averages $1.75 for an ATM withdrawal.
-
Damn right Adam! The ATM at my McD's charges REAL low fees, which is why I frequent it often, even though I rarely make a purchase (usually only to try a new product since I am a shareholder and need to keep tabs on my investments).
-
Bring back the McRib! lol.
-
Wouldn't banking at any establishment that charges ATM fees be dumb?
-
Yvo - win.
Adam, Goats - fail. -
ATM fees are for suckas.
-
I've seen $5 ATM fees. And no I didnt use it.
-
$18.50 ATM fee at the old Scores, but I'm sure Sapphire Club is the same
-
Just go to a branch of your own bank if you know you need cash. Otherwise, your own fault.
Aren't A.C. ATM fees also ridiculous?
-
I think the AC fees are around $4. Not a huge amount when you're dropping $20-$40 bets, etc., but still a scam.
-
Yea who ever thought up charging people money to get their own money deserves a royal beatdown...
-
AC ATM fees come to hmm I think just under $10 combined (with your bank fees)? Back 5+ years though. I haven't been to AC in a long time. And no, I wasn't the one getting cash out.
-
Wow, really?! If you get cash from your own bank they don't charge you?! GOOD TO KNOW!!!
Sarcasm aside...
Maybe, just maybe, there are situations where your particular bank is far enough away that the "convenience" (or necessity) of going to an ATM out of your network makes sense...
-
the ATM at 1849 charged like 5 somthing..downstairs by the bathroom not teh one outside...
but i got etrade so i dont give a shiz if its 100$ fee!
-
Well minus any unavoidable emergencies, that convenience you speak of is pure laziness and what feeds those fat cats. Just walk to your bank or SWITCH to a bank that has ATMs everywhere. I have Chase and they're all over the place. They're even in Duane Reade so no excuses on getting hit up on fees. And what type of purchase warrants the cash anyway? Lay down the plastic. Definitely your own fault if you don't have 5-10 bucks for the halal cart and your bank is miles and miles away. Plus if you know you're a cash-type of person, you should always be ready...
-
streetmezzon, you speak sensibly.
-
@Samwich I have no idea what you mean by the etrade comment
@Adam ease up I was just being Captain Obvious, it's fun sometimes instead of being scathingly sarcastic or obstinately obtuse... sometimes.
;P
-
I don't have a traditional bank....so I need atms! I only have brokerage accounts!
-
you always gotta be different? huh Goats?
-
I'm bored. I want to add to this thread so you will keep talking and entertain me further.
-
Goats, clearly you're lazy and need to change your lifestyle to be more similar to StreetMeWhatever (Yes, I'm too lazy to type your username, but not lazy enough to comment that I wont type in your username).
-
I like my set up darnnit! Even though I do pay some fees, I like having everything centralized. All roads lead to Merrill Lynch, where traffic master goats then redirects them to ameritrade, wachovia or paychex, depending on my mood....
-
HAHA. Whatever. Just saying it's an utter waste be charged up for getting your own money but to each their own.
Continuing being lazy, AdPr.
Wow to Goats on holding only brokerage accts. No checking accts at all, then withdraw cash from your savings acct. on a frequent basis or see what the halal guys think about your plastic. lol.
-
"StreetMeWhatever (Yes, I'm too lazy to type your username, but not lazy enough to comment that I wont type in your username)"
*blink*
-
I have checking, credit card, cash, stocks--you name it--through merrill lynch. Auto bill pay too! It is wonderful, even if costs me a few extra bucks. I don't trade out of that account though---ameritrade for trading. wachovia my long boring bluechip investments, b/c of family employed there.
-
I wish I wasn't really 18 and have no idea what the hell you mean when you say these words.
-
well basically Goats is a baller and he got his own peeps to manage the benjamins for him. haha. brokerage acct. Damn wealth management. ;P
And IF you have Beyond Banking with merrill, don't they give you Fee-Refunded ATM withdrawals?Mickey D's stockholder...you probably have Coca Cola (KO) too? lol.
-
Nope--no coke. I do have some TAP though--Molson Coors. And diageo--for captain morgan and jd!
-
Oh so when I steal Max, I should totally ask for ransom? *nods* Got it! Thanks for the explanation!
-
i'm in sin stocks too. :) vicex ftw.
i think the owner (ex owner?) of yolato used to/still has an atm business and is apparently making a fortune from it. a lot of people apparently don't want to go out of their way to hit their local branch
-
What's a Sin Stock? Gosh you peoples know so much! Teach me! I feel like I would/should invest in Sin Stock based on name alone...
-
Sin meaning like the companies that make booze, adult ent., gambling, tobacco, etc. Sin for the win. lol.

From Craiglist (http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/mis/1418614966.html):
"You - staturesque redhead finishing lunch
Me - black blazer tan slacks and awstruck; with a friend at the cash machine
Any chance to get to know each other a little better??"
