El IDOLO - Mexican Tacos
Northeast Corner of 14th st and 8th ave.
Great late night tacos. -
Another great late-night (OK, all-night) Mexican option in the general area is Great Burrito, corner of 23rd and 6th.

Both of those are my go to spots late night after a night of partying, especially Great Burrito as I live across the corner from it. I love the people there, very friendly. Always get extra of their hot sauce, especially on the side, soooo gooood. One of my favorite things to get is a Jamaican beef patty stuffed with onions, tomatoes, mozzarella, cilantro, jalapenos and hot sauce then baked.
Il Idolo is awesome as well and I usually only get their goat tacos, nothing else can compare! I grew up on goat and this tastes amazing. Tender and flavorful without being gamey.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It was El Idolo...This place even had horchata, although they were sold out when I went.
That beef patty sounds fantastic. I'll have to stumble past Great burrito someday.

I've walked past Great Burrito several times but haven't tried it yet -- how are their huaraches and sopes? Good?

A few months ago, I stumbled (literally) across a Mexican cart that was open late. It was somewhere in the 20 - 30s around 8th ave. Everything was great and I'd like to go back but can't remember where it is.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks
