Wonjo, in my opinion, has pretty good food no matter what you order...and they don't use ton of msg...yes, i can tell. hehe

Parent teacher conference? You're dating a 9 yr older?
(BCD and Seoul Garden are my favs)
-
HAN BAT!!!!
or since you are a veggie just take some winter cabbage from the planters by Macys and make kimchi.
-
chodanggol for veggies!
-
by friday, she will have every single korean restaurant in NYC listed here...so there is no point of this thread. Just go to izakaya moku. lol

Its true, I'm already getting overwhelmed. But mostly bc this is a big departure from me just grabbing a package at kimbap at woorjip. This is like *real* Korean food. But I do like that so many of these rec's are on my block.
also @ Chris: I think 90% of his motivation to come eat lunch in K-Town is so he can go to Jim Hanley's afterwards. So yes. I think I *am* dating a 9 yr old.
and @ Steve: I already got a jar of Macy's kale buried in a planter, just waiting for springtime!

@Sarah: Woah! Another comic shop...and it's more on my way home than Midtown, sweet!

I enjoyed Cho Dang Gol's spicy kimchi & tofu dish. so 2nd. Still have to get use to eating the 'rice crust' though.
I have Woorijip kimbap waiting for me to devour during Dinner. Totally not my usual course.

Okay ML'ers I'm going out for a rare sit-down lunch with my boyfriend on Friday (all his parent teacher conferences are done by 11am... what a jerk) and he wants Korean. Fortunately for all, I work on 35th St btw 5th and 6th!
I want to break out of my Woorjip rut, and kind of want to try BiBimBap in a stone pot. I was thinking maybe HanBat? But, I wanted to know what more experienced Korean food eaters recommend in the area.
