Not to derail my own thread but I'd like to compare KFC, Church's Chicken and my fav. Popeyes!! Maybe even get Kennedy Fried Chicken in the mix. ;P
And KFC should totally consider giving out sample tastes to the double down during debut day.

Popeye's is awesome :)
Let's do it! Fast food fried chicken taste test, blind. Oooh :D
-
Zach did a fried chicken crawl a couple years ago, he made a map of the NY locations, I seem to recall?
-
Sounds familiar. He was, however, restricted to midtown, right? :)

I believe this is the post that Mama refers to:
http://midtownlunch.com/2008/09/03/8th-eighth-avenue-is-the-bestfried-chicken-corridor-of-midtown-nyc-new-york-city/No KFC in that rumble though.
-
oops
-
Not much of a blind test though. If we had people to moderate, we could do fried chicken blind. I want Popeye's now. *drools*

So exactly how small is this thing? If it's only 540 calories either A) they're lying or B) it's the size of my palm and I have small hands.
-
here are some pictures for size comparison. they actually look pretty big.

540 does seem pretty low for this delicious monstrosity...
-
woa but check out the sodium count on this thing!!! 1380 & 1430??? neoguri is only 1040! hahah
i just remembered why i hate looking at nutritional content.

Good to see the size is decent BUT need to see the pricing on those puppies first.
Drink TONS of water and sweat it all out with cardio. Grilled is so healthy that they need to add MORE salt to it. GREAT!
Who's willing to eat both in on sitting for comparison? ;P
-
i am. in fact. i will bet that i can eat 3 of them, plus 2 large fries, and a chocolate shake in under 20 minutes.

No room for a bun...

So who's definitely going to tackle it and try to avoid the heart attacks?
I also wonder how much will a Double Down cost?
I'm not against it, would likely devour one but probably wouldn't be too proud of myself for indulging in it. Maybe even eat an Original recipe and a Grilled.
