Korean Galbi, boneless leg of lamb, and whole fish (any kind).
-
Oh and steak.
-
White dude here. Generic bbq food is there always.
Hotdogs, hamburgers, coleslaw...all that stuff.
Fish too, usually salmon or tuna steaks, even if it's not too traditional
-
galbi and bulgogi sound like obvious choices :)
howabout grilled artichokes? or cedar plank salmon?
-
For the three of us that read this board that aren't asian, I submit pulled pork sandwiches.
-
souvlaki
-
I made these recently and thought they were a nice change:
-
Italian sausage (hot and sweet), kielbasa and cheese filled brats, all topped by a variety of sauerkraut, or grilled onions and peppers, bada bing!
My buddy's dad usually does his famous Worcestershire sauce marinated london broil sliced thin on crispy rolls.
-
fishballs, whole prawns, clams, portobellos, nem nuong, chao tom (shrimp paste wrapped around sugar cane), kalbi is pretty good. for the last three items: fresh lettuce, sauce, maybe some mint & thai basil, and clean hands are required.
corn and sweet potatoes wrapped up and thrown directly into the coals is also a favorite.
also awesome, barely yellow plantains or bananas split and grilled indirect until soft. then flattened and basted with a salt+sugar+scallion oil. frikkin awesome.
once i've done beer can chicken and it was awesome. i also like doing beggar's chicken for the novelty of it. but it's a hassle and takes up quite a bit of real estate so i've only done it about 3 times on the grill.

Deanlo, can you invite me to your next bbq party? I'd like to be invited please..hehe.
-
Jerk Chicken, beef ribs, brisket. Pics on my flickr page.

oooo jerk chicken is a good one. I never make my own jerk seasoning though. My fave is Walkerswood brand but I haven't seen it in like 3 years at the local supermarkets so I end up buying the slightly different but equally good Grace brand.
mkim, nope :P

Slightly off the lunch topic but I just want to find out your favorite BBQ food. I personally hate seeing hamburgers and hotdogs so when I host a bbq party, I rarely serve hotdogs and burgers. what are some of your favorite BBQ food and also share some of your favorite recipes.
