Jamaican Dutchy

Does anyone know if the Jamaican Dutchy goes to their old 51st & 7th location anymore? Or do they have a regular schedule that they follow at all? Thanks!

definitely no longer at the 51st & 7th location. they have a twitter account, but i dont think they're in the habit of updating their location. its a shame, since they used to be a couple blocks away.

  2. On Monday, they were on 3rd by 43rd or 44th. I don't remember which street it was.

  3. I miss them SO MUCH! A lot of other trucks have returned to 50th street, so they really should try their old location again.

i never visited the truck but for the past couple of weeks or so a giant truck with a "jamaican dutchy" sign has been parked on 43rd close to 3rd ave as Gate mentioned. it has the big screen like what i saw the cart had as well, so maybe it's the same thing? im guessing so if its going by "jamaican dutchy".

  5. O'Neil very kindly agreed to set up his truck outside the Bell House in Brooklyn when we brought in Stranger Cole & Patsy (2 Jamaican artists whose ska / rocksteady records from the 60s and 70s are stellar) for their first show together in NYC a few weeks ago. As always, the food was stellar, and the crowd loved it.

He's been set up at 21st and Broadway for a while, but the location wasn't the best...I talked to him yesterday, and he mentioned he was going to be trying out 43rd and 3rd to see how business worked there.

You can always track him down via his contact info on their website - http://thejamaicandutchy.net/

  6. Thank you all! I was hoping they still swung by Midtown West but doesn't seem like they do.

Yes, they were at the 21st and Broadway location for a while, but I haven't seen them in several weeks.

  8. he was on 43rd between 3rd and 2nd avenue today. my co-worker had the stewed chicken. so amazing.

  9. I've been seeing it a lot on 43rd btw 3rd and 2nd lately, and like Suzanna said, they were there today.
