Is Bon Chon still a long wait at lunchtime?

I want to hit up Bon Chon for lunch this week but I'm hoping it's not a 2-hour extravaganza. Has their service gotten any quicker since they've been open for lunch?

  1. I don't know about lunch but I was just there this sunday for dinner and it might have gotten slower. The wait was pretty bad and they wouldn't let my group of 9 sit at these open tables, stating that there is a minimum of $25/person to sit there. Instead we squeezed into what looked like 2 tables meant for parties of 2, with most of the group sitting on these tiny box/stool things with no leg room and spilling into other parties.

Food was good as always, but they need to work on service. They copped a serious attitude when we asked about switching to the open table, then tacked on a 20% gratuity on our bill. Can't wait for kyochon to open to take my business elsewhere.

Lunch is worse too. I was there a couple weeks ago, waited an hour to get my spicy combo special and had to get it to go so I could eat it at my desk. Not cool.

Kyochon will definitely improve the options around here.

I ended up going a few days after I posted that message and surprisingly, the wait wasn't bad. But I got there around noon and there was hardly anyone there. Still, they really have problems with customer service in general and I too can't wait till Kyochon gives them a run for their money.
