I'm going to make a bold claim

Goats

I decided to take a Columbus Day night adventure with my dog Max and try the 53rd St halal cart to see what all the hype was about. Despite the annoyingly long line, it moved quickly enough.I got home a short time ago, and warmed the food up, and then poured on the white and hot sauce. First off, the hot sauce is nice, but not ghost chili by any means! I will say it was good for a cart, maybe the best I've had, but it's not much hotter than regular decent hot sauce that i get. However, that white sauce is awful! It's pure mayo! Bluck! Yuck! And that shredded lamb and chicken--flavorless! Bland! WTF!!! This is another shakeshack--all hype, no substanance. I daresay my cart on madison and 28th kicks its ass easily--even with the inferior hot sauce! Boo!!!!!

I am still blown away by Kwik Meal...revelling in the after glow! I think it may, dareisayit, be healthy---kind of....Nothing wrong with some grilled lamb chunks salad and basmati rice...

I tried 49th and 6th on Friday at around 10pm. I had the mix with spicy rice. The rice was a pile of mush in the rectangular container (tasty mush though) when I ate it not too long after I bought it. Lamb was just shards of gyro and chicken was dry and overcooked. Lettuce&Tomato, White sauce, hot sauce were all standard but least not watery nor bland. Food was average overall. But for $6, I rather get the $5 combo at Little Morocco which I believe is slightly better esp. when you get fries. And really not better than 53rd/6th IMO. Not far worse or anything either. As I left, one fellow countryman of theirs ordered chicken w. rice and joked how he keeps having to ask them for less rice and more chicken. I guess not all carts hook up their own people then...

Yea, mushy rice for sure on Friday. At least it was easier to mix the sauces around with. Not too spicy though but better than dry and overcooked like the chicken.
It was okay. You should be able to find better though to shake off 53rd/6th. Biryani Cart and Kwik Meal are solids in that area.
