안녕하세요… 저는 midtownlunch에 자주 들리지만, 사실 Happy Well Being Cart에서 먹어본적은 없습니다. 재가 일하는 장소랑 거리가 멀어서, 사실 점심시간에 가기엔 시간이 너무 빡빡해서 못갑니다. 그러나, 이런일이 이러난다니 너무나 안탁갑내요… 보시면 알다시피 이런일은 midtown에선 처음은 아닙니다. 이런 협박을 받은 사람들도 많고, 새로운 cart운영할대는 대부분 이런 ‘접대’를 받는답니다. 그러나, 그와중에 포기하는 사람들도 있지만, 자리를 단단히 스고, 협박속에서도 잘 견디는 사람들도 많답니다. 저는 말로만 하는 입장에서 아주 쉽겠지만, 포기하시지 않았으면 합니다. 그 사람들이 아무리 협박을해도, 폭력으로 나오지는 않을태고, 혹시 그런다해도 경찰이 깔린게 midtown아닙니까? 그쪽 사람들이 뭐라해도, 무시하고, 장사를 하셨으면 합니다. 그쪽에서 자기내들이 그쪽에게 협박 할 입장이 안됩니다. 윗사람들이 말한듯이 어떤 cart인지 알려주시면, 여기있는 내티즌들이 Happy Well Being Cart를 support할거라 믿습니다. 포기하시지 말고, midtown으로 도라오세요! Midtown에서 사실 장사가 더 잘되는거 아닙니까? 행운을 빌어요!!!

well.. it's basicaly saying that she shouldn't quit.. and I hope they stick it out in the midtown location... There have been instances like this before and several carts have withstood the threats...
If you announce the name of the cart giving you threats, I'm sure the readers at midtownlunch will more than happily support your cause.

What the hell? Which halal dudes are messing with them?
Nobody on 6th Ave except the real halal guys on 53rd deserve eating anyway and they don't need to mess with anybody except the fakers.I hope they bring it back to midtown someday soon!

halal carts on 50th between 6th and 7th suck anyway. ridiculous. they won't ever command a line like HWBC can.
where is the downtown cart? if it's near a train station i might consider the commute

i'm tempted to go by the halal cart and say something along the lines of.. "well.. you just lost 'x' customers because of the stunt you pulled..." if enough people do it.. maybe they'll leave them alone?

Seriously, people who know good halal carts wouldn't bother throwing away any real money on their unworthy carts anyway. :P

사실 제가 엄마와 언니라고 했지만 언니와 엄마가 아니고
제 고모와 사촌언니가 하고 있는 카트가 Happy well being house이고, 저와 제 아빠가 하고 있던 다운타운 카드 총 2개를 하고 있었는데, 문제가 생겨서 하나를 없앴거든요.
그리고는 미드타운에서 아침장사를 시작하면서
avenue 쪽 사람이 많이 다니는 쪽으로 가서 장사를 하려고 하자
halal vendor들이 vendor 한명이 아니라 그 주위에 모든 halal vendors가 다 몰려와서 협박하고 싸웠다고 하네요제가 그 상황에 있지 않아서 잘은 모르겠지만
anyways, 그래서 고모가 저희 아빠와 하던 다운타운 spot으로 다시 옮겨 가셨다고 하시더라구요.
사실 저희 고모가 미드타운에 처음 들어갈때부터
협박하고 왜 여기로 오냐고 뭐라고 하고 그랬다고 하더라구요.그런데 이제는 아예 쫓겨나서 다운타운으로 가게 된거죠
앞으로 고모가 어떻게 하실지는 잘 모르겠지만
제가 영어가 조금 부족해서 자세히 사람들에게 설명할수가 없어서
안타깝네요저희 음식을 사랑해주셔서 감사하고
미드타운으로 다시 돌아갈수 있도록 노력 해보겠다고

Hello,
Thank you for your kind words. Actually, the people running the midtown cart were my aunt and cousin. My father and I were running the cart downtown. As we started to sell breakfast, we moved to a new location and the halal vendors started to give us threats. It wasn’t just one vendor, it was every vendor that came as a group to threaten us.
I wasn’t actually there, so I’m not exactly sure how everything went down.
Anyways, my aunt and cousin moved back to the downtown spot that we were at previously.
Actually, even before we started selling breakfast, we were getting individual threats from the halal vendors in the area. They kept asking us why we were coming here. But now, we’ve just been pushed out, and that’s why we went back to our downtown location.
I’m not sure what my aunt’s plans are but unfortunately my English isn’t strong enough for me to explain to everyone else on this site.
Thank you for enjoying our food and we will try everything we can to move back to midtown. We would appreciate and love everyone’s support.
