what are you talking about monstermooch? YOU PEOPLE use fruit in your marinades all the time. kalbi has korean pear and kyochon has strawberry jam.

I'm intrigued. Is it like pineapple salsa that is warm? If not, just buy it separately and add it to your burger!

@dean - yes, but with regards meat marinades, the point is not to taste a combination of meat & fruit, but to tenderize the meat. i have no idea what kyochon does with strawberry jam, so cant speak to that. but yeah.. ive never been a fan of meat & fruit, unless it's apples & pork.

well the flavor blends so yea i guess it's not something you readily pick up... but you'd be able to taste the difference between that and one where they just used powdered meat tenderizers
apples and pork is a nomming combination. i like apples with chicken too.. and general tso's chicken. and sometimes hawaiian pizza. oh and green papaya salad but i guess in that use it's more like a vegetable than a fruit.
my brother keeps trying to get me to go to island burger. he says it's the bomb.
