I apologize if this was posted in the wrong section of the forum. I am sure I was careful to put it in the right place, but thanks to whomever moved it.
And no, I'm not a shill. I'm a longtime reader of ML for both areas of NYC -- depending upon where I'm working -- although I just registered today.

Actually, I can see why there's not much activity in the Downtown section. Kinda like Lord of the Flies here for a new poster, meanwhile the older members don't post at all -- until they find someone to attack.

i passed by this the other day - is this the same Goody's as the one that used to be in Confucius plaza in chinatown???? i.e. with the soup dumplings?

seaweed - Sorry, I am or was probably one of the most prolific forum participants and worked downtown, but since I quit the corporate life, I don't go on the forums as much... it can be a tough crowd for new people, yes, but I promise if you hang around to look past the tough exteriors, there's a lot of, cough, diamonds in the rough...
PS Your forum post caused Andrea to check out Goodie's, so some good came of it :)

@Yvo
Thanks! I'll try to be less sensitive & delicate :)@you can go suck it
Andrea did a review here and I commented about the transplantation:

Haha, didn't mean to imply you were either... but you should come to a happy hour sometime if you can. Face to face, if they're mean to you... just kick them in the shins and run away ;)

I usually order in for dinner, but they have good lunch specials for $6.95 too.
I usually prefer the "Create Your Own Dishes" for $8.95 with some fried tofu & their black bean sauce.
The fish in seaweed batter was so good I'm still thinking about it the following day, although that dish is outside of the ML price limit.
