Good question... I don't love Burger Heaven, but were once stuck on the East side with a ton of people, needing a sit down place, and they accommodated us pretty easily. There are a bunch of locations.

I have to plug my favorite restaurant: Ipanema on 46th between 5th and 6th.
They have daily lunch specials (<$15) aside from their regular menue (~$20, which is their normal dinner prices).
The restaurant has been there for about 30 years, and has a loyal clientel (including myself). Attentive staff, great "homestyle" brasilian food, and gladly accomodate a crowd. I've brought close to a hundred there (over time, though my biggest crowd there was 25 people at once), and there were maybe 4 people who were underwhelmed. Everyone else has raved about the place.
I usually go there for dinner but have gone for lunch many times (I last went 3 weeks ago, and I'm going again for lunch on Friday).
Hope you stop by :)

Grand Sichuan or the Palm

I have to agree with ESNY's vote for the Palm... it's right near your office on 2nd ave, and they have this business lunch deal.. http://www.thepalm.com/promodetail.cfm?promo_id=113
For just over $20/person you get 3 courses to choose from... I'd usually have a salade, then some steak (of course), then they'd knock us on the floor with a killer size slice of cheesecake (seriously big, like when Fred orders the brontosaurus-burger at the drive-thu.. yeah, you know what i'm talkin' bout). Great deal, truly delicious, and kinda high-stylin' in an old school, pretend to be adults kinda way (then again, I'm in my thirties.. let me know when I'm supposed to consider myself an adult. thx)

Thanks for the advice, guys! It's appreciated!

Hey Team,
I'm organizing a group lunch for my department (approximately 17 people) and I'm looking for delicious places that could easily accommodate a large group during lunch time. Any recommendations? Culinary style could vary, just be palatable. I'm also willing to spend over $10 per person (yikes!). Bonus points if it's close to around, say, 47th and 2nd ave.
Thanks!
