I haven't tried much fish and chips in these parts 'round heyah, but I'd wouldn't expect more than stock pub fare. A Salt and Battery is money, and they do in fact have good beer. My next venture will be Chip Shop, where they deep fry anything that can be deep fried. Twinkies? Obviously. Pizza? Sure!

chip shop's in park slope. haven't been there yet. i actually went on a fish and chip/ fish sandwich rampage and thought a salt and battery was up there in the top 3. but i don't really rank things because everything is too subjective. the place reeked of fish and grease but everything was well cooked. almost bought the chip butty but my gf thought it was excessive. plus it's just fries on bread... you can make that.

What were the other 2 places?

Anyone know where I can get good fish and chips? I work on 38th and 8th but am willing to travel for fishy vinegary goodness.
