i just said tourist trap, not necessarily one in Times Square.
-
Steve wants hole-in-the-wall.
-
yes, but thats for something totally different.
-
i think we should do midtown east this time. :)
-
No problem - just name the place!
-
I think i need an advil and a pillow--no happy hour talk for goats---until---tomorrow....and yeah, I second midtown east....gingerman wouldn'[t be bad....
-
gingerman isn't divey enough and it has a HUGE after work crowd.
-
I hate Gingerman.
-
live bait?
south side of 23rd and 5th across from Shake Shack?
-
I second yvo's gingerman comment.
Not sure who I spoke to last night about live bait. It's been a decade since I've been there. I recall it was a good place.
That said, after getting home with empty pockets last night, I'd say 1849 is a fine choice... I forgot how expensive midtown bars are...
-
Adam, you talked to me drunkarrd LOL! (hugs!)
-
Yvo's original call for Bravest was a good one. really cheap drinks, greasy wings and other bar food. Hot firemen.
-
Live Bait is a lot of fun, reminds me of the bar where I used to beer-tend. It's divey and cheap, too. But the general bar area isn't all that conducive to a large crowd, assuming we have a similar-sized crowd as this past time.
Bravest has the same problem. If we even had 5 people, we may have an issue jabbing people. And the last time I went, it was all SUITS. Barf.

The date is FIRM.
The location is up in the air. Please suggest wherever; I've had one request thusfar for the next one:
"not a tourist trap in the middle of Times Square"
(I'm paraphrasing because I can't find the email, I must remember wrong who sent it, whoops)
Cheers,
Yvo
