You might find those in bakeries in chinatown that also sell hot food/dim sum. I am pretty sure that butchershop/fishstore/hotfoods/bakery shop on Elizabeth st. that runs thru to Mott st.(btwn hester & grand) definitely has it. the rice balls are on the Elizabeth st side of the store.

I work in the Downtown/Chinatown area of lower Manhattan and while I have my pick of dumplings for $1, I would love to find a place that sells rice balls.
I know of a definite place on St. Marks but I dont feel like making the trip.
Any Local Recs?
