Can this even taste good?
Maybe after constructing it, deep-fry the whole thing! :)
-
NO, SMP*, it cannot taste good. NO way! Not possible. the only real food there is lettuce tomato onion and mustard, and that is not a good combo alone.
(*I meant SMO--brain moving too slow today)

Haha on SMP.
Dip it in batter and give it a generous sizzle.
Maybe if it was deep-fried in BUTTER or LARD but it wouldn't be vegan anymore. Truffle Oil?
-
oh maybe I should have mentioned the fakin' chiken patties are breaded and fried. No doubt tastes like: Salt, oil, red onion.
Hmmm w/ truffle oil, though...
-
Yea, I saw the patties are fried, Sarah, but figure frying the WHOLE thing (or schnitz the heck outta it) would work better for it. Haha.

VEGAN Double-down.
Since its kind of buried in the interview I'll go ahead and break it down:
2 fake chicken patties, tofutti cheese (blech) fake bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion and dijon mustard.

Also it appears that this was created under the premise of being 'manly'-- is that really what the motivation behind the OG Doubledown? I must have missed that.
Discuss.
