I went to Mexicue (7th Ave location) yesterday to supplement my homemade lunch with something small. The description on the website said: "Blistered Creamy Corn SM 2.95 LG 4.50 - chipotle chili powder, cream, pickled onion." Hill Country's corn pudding immediately came to mind, as did other creamy corn dishes I've tried in the past, so I thought getting this would be a great side. Unfortunately, when I got back to my desk, it was just a cup of roasted corn, tossed with a dash of cream (did not make it "creamy"). It had a smokey flavor, but I didn't see any pickled onion. Not what I was expecting at all!
Anyone else have a similar issue with another dish? Should I have expected this?
