HAHA. A new member of ML who is a reverend and enjoys eating halal food? Interesting.

As much as I like their food, I'm not too fond of the aroma thats comes from the halal cart.

This really irks me. They call it "tourist season" but we're not allowed to shoot them. grrrrr.

I go to Ess-A on 1st avenue about 4 times a week before work. There's never a wait after 8:45 AM on a weekday. But every once in a while, there's a HOARD of tourists clogging up the place. No one knows what they want, no one knows how to order, and it takes forever. Those tourists aren't doing anything wrong, but I go all Red Ross anyway. This post reminds me of that.

It feels like it's perpetually tourist season in New York. I always find myself faced with these walking hindrances, as they randomly stop mid-stride on a busy sidewalk to gaze at an apartment building or pull out a map to further disorient themselves. These people are the reason why I know how to juke despite never having played football.

^Lol. Or you can just do what I do and push them out of your way. Well, I don't really consider it pushing as much as herding. What irks me are the people who just stop walking on the escalator in the subway or stop or slow down when they reach the bottom of the stairs when the train is arriving. Just because you know you are going to get on there, doesn't mean that the twenty people behind you aren't going to try to make it as well. Then there are the groups of people who insist walking shoulder to shoulder on the sidewalk. You know who you are, and you've been warned.
-
I hear ya man. I've run into people who stop abruptly once they see the train and realize it's not the one they wanted to take. sort of the same idea though, and equally inconsiderate.
I like the idea of herding, haha. The shoulder to shoulder people are actually inviting you to a game of Red Rover. Of course if you plan on accepting, you should at least wear a helmet and shoulder pads for ... um ... safety.

We were walking back to our hotel late Thursday night December 17, 2009, when the most incredible aroma came wafting over our way. We followed this over to the http://www.HalalGuys.com cart and ordered a lamb gyro and it was so delicious. I took a picture of the three guys who made our meal for us. They asked me to send it to them but I only have the website and cannot find where to post their photo. Does anybody have an actual email address of the http://www.HalalGuys.com vendor?
