    I would prefer they lie.

I could care less if it's not in-house. Long as it doesn't taste like crap or will kill you quicker.

If anything, the grammar on the opening entry is totally off the charts.

Why would you prefer they lie?

I could also care less if it's made in house or if it's brought in. But I do care about honesty. Don't say you're making something in house if you're not. Credibility is important for any business.

Someone should check to see where Blue Dog Cafe is and who are the competitors within a one block radius. Perhaps this person who created the thread works there?

sorry, just a bit snarky today....

Back on topic. With Manhattan rent being hat it is, I woudl suspect most places dont make stuff in house -or atleast the smaller places. As long as it is made off site for them specifically , I am fine with that. However, if it is brought in by elsewhere and called there own to try and increase marketing, that that would be plain wrong.

NoPickles, I agree, with one caveat.

    - Marketing it as "Made in-house" and it's not, thats wrong.
    - Marketing it as "home-made" and being made by the restaurant staff, even if it's at some external facility, that would be a grey area that's more than acceptable.

I say that because I believe some of the local barbecue joints don't smoke their meats in the restaurant facilities since they're just not equipped with the ventilation required to handle that.

There, their, they're: All competitors of Blue Dog Cafe should learn these words and use them correctly.

while we're on the topic, it's:

    "i COULDN'T care less"

because, if you COULD care less, well, then do so.
