Company dinner suggestions

Sorry had to rip off the company lunch thing, but when I read that, I realized that we have a company dinner coming up. There will be about 30 people attending. We would prefer a private room if available. Types of food that works: Italian, American, & French. Just something that isn't "out there"... my boss considers sushi "out there" so you can tell how limited we are.

I'm at 55th and Park and it needs to be somewhere relatively close.

Thank you!!!

Any of the steak houses ought to do. Del Frisco's on 49th and 6th has a private room. I assume Smith & Wollensky does as well.

I think they have private rooms at Alto. I once got to go to a company dinner thing with my wife's work... definitely not out there.

    There's also this website http://www.dineprivate.com/

it's like the Open Table for private dining rooms.

Morton's of Chicago definitely has a private room.

Tao also has a private table upstairs and cuisine is american-chinese/asian-fushion depending on the menu you select. Might be in the 'out there' category for you guys. Oh well.

If you want to go the steakhouse route, Quality Meats and Sparks, both have private room and are relatively close to your office.

Convivo might have a private room. Park Ave Autumn (or fall or winter or whatever season they are on right now).

  5. Thanks guys. We're actually trying to stay away from the steakhouse route... there's a lot of losers... i mean... vegetarians and no-to-red-meat ppl in my office... We had our previous company outing at Bar Americain.. but that turned out ugly... the food was actually not good at all... in any case, please keep the suggestions coming!
