Cipriani Le Specialità

I couldn't be more surprised after finding that Cipriani Le Specialità was not mentioned anywhere in this website...
Is by far the best quick food in Midtown and a great cost-benefit ratio. The large meals are more than enough for two for $14 - the small ones for $11 I must admit that are not quite as cost effective.
Their menu (changes everyday) includes filet mignon, shrimp dishes, great risottos and exceptional pastas.
I eat there everyday...

Chris, I'd say high 90's since the account was just created a few minutes before this post was made.

Adam, yeah I was just making up a number. :)

I'd like to take this opportunity to point out one of Frank Bruni's finest reviews during his tenure, which happened to be about Harry Cipriani. Different restaurant, but same ownership.

The funny thing is, these shills never talk about where the damn store is. I couldn't try Cipriani Le Specialità even if I wanted to since theres no damn address.

  5. Does self importance mean anything to you both? I don't think Cipriani needs this sort of advertising...
This is my first time on the website, hence the new user - I was looking for healthy options and just had a decent meal at Energy Kitchen.
In any case, 1) Cipriani is right bellow the Cipriani ballroom on 42nd and Lex - I didn't think it needed mentioning; 2) please try and do lunch there tomorrow and if you know of any other restaurant that serves food that resembles theirs, please do let me know.

    hmmm...street meat or---bitch food----which one am I gonna go with....lemme see....hmmmm

    I got it.

    NOT BITCH FOOD!

The fact that wichcraft is discussed on this site is bad enough....no need to go to cipriani...

now bitchy mean italian women on the west side---serving authentic italian food:

maybe served by some bitches, but NOT BITCH FOOD!

Cipriani needs this sort of advertising to drum up business to pay legal bills.

  8. so freaking funny, so because you're limited to 2.99 meals we can't discuss Cipriani??!!! maybe you should try pickpocketing in the subway this week so you can afford their lunch once and let me know what you think
and btw goats, bitch is yo mama

  9. CheeeeEEEEse

Well, traditionally we cap it at $10, so it still rules Cipriani out.

MOM! Or should I say dpolizzi? Didn't we agree you'd stop trolling Midtown Lunch to keep tabs on me? You're acting like a real bitch!

  11. adamprato

dpolizzi, it's just that this site isn't about expensive food in manhattan. There are other sites for that. Chowhound for instance.

And just because we look for the best bang for our buck doesn't mean we're cheapskates. I spent $60 on lunch last week (most of that was in liquid form...) at my favorite restaurant (Ipanema on 46th btw 5th & 6th).

However, I know not to try to post about how everyone should eat there since, well, that's not what this site is about. Notice there are no posts about steakhouses either, except when they offer $10 lunches....

  12. I usually spend less than $8 there on my lunch. As I said, the large meal is too big for one and comes with a free soda.
This Cipriani in not about expensive food - I actually think that what they serve there is the leftovers (uncooked, I assume) from the parties at the ballroom.
    This is all about value.

You seem to know a lot about this cipriani place.

So, is anyone out there convinced he's not a shill? :)
