mkim: Choux Factory had a cart on 53rd and Park somewhere around the 2000-2003 era. They fill them with custard to order. I though they were good, but never had one prior to compare with. I assume that the place on first is the brick and mortar for the cart...but who knows which came first.
Their competition was Beard Papa, but never had theirs.

i love their peppermint and blueberry flavors. tried the black tea pound cake there, which was nice too but nothing to write home about.
-
peppermint cream puff? that sounds a bit gros..lol.
do they sell other stuff like sandwiches, etc? -
I don't see what's so gross about it . . . you've never had mint chocolate chip ice cream? it's like that but without the chocolate. and not frozen. :)
When I worked around there, they did have house-baked breakfast items like muffins and croissants but I can't remember if they had sandwiches. I wouldn't buy a sandwich from a store that specialized in cream puffs anyway.

what's the purpose of a one week diet? You either eat healthy or you dont. Going week to week aint gonna do shit.
-
it's probably a detox thing. i can't think of any medical procedures that would require a 1-week restricted diet.
-
LOL, i am actually leaving to South of France Monday. I want to lose weight as much as possible so i don't have to worry about gaining extra weight when i am there..and hopefully be back with maybe a few extra pounds. otherwise, i don't believe in detox or anything like that.

Deanlo, I hate mint anything...it's like having dessert and cold mdecine together..haha
-
Oh. So that's why. You probably shouldn't go with any of my recommendations then.
I'm a Vietnamese person living in a Spanish neighborhood, so I grew up around it and love pretty much anything with mint in it. :) mojitos, pho, candy... nomnomnom

actually, i love mojitos and pho..O_O maybe i don't like that fake mint flavor...or maybe i just don't like it on dessert.

I took a little walk around the town after lunch yesterday and discovered a cream puff place on 1st Ave, near UN building. It's called Choux Factory.
Anyone try their puffs? I've been very sad since Cafe Zaiya got rid of Beard Papa cream puffs. This may be a great alternative...I wanted to try it but I am on a diet this week. LOL
