Never used chompon before. Does it stink that badly for you to sign up here and inform ML?

I never used the site so was asking for your experience (since that's more helpful to everyone) and making sure you're not a random hate-shill (maybe you work for a rival of chompon?) since you just signed up...

If you go to the site, it warns that none of the deals are valid. Clearly they are just beta testing the site, and entered some fake deals to populate the site.

well then i guess chompon has a lawsuit on their hands. i'll get the paperwork done tomorrow for a class action with ippudo/nobu/sushigari as part of the undersigned. thanks for the heads up cheapfork!

HELLO! This is nothing but pure SHILL, just to attract notice for chompon. As Zach noted, the site clearly states it's just testing, so you can't even purchase a deal and nobody's being ripped off.
For shame, CheapFork. Crawl back under your slimy rock.

Haha. Bad PR on cheap's part then. Either that or he was pissed he couldn't save a ton of dough at Nobu-SushiGari-Ippudo...and decides to share the same wonderful news with us. Probably got his chompon rejected by Ippudo... :P

Ippudo restaurant has posted a sign in their otherwise immaculate front room with a copy of a Chompon $25 for $10 voucher. The sign states that these coupons are not being accepted.
So its clear that people have purchased this offer and tried to use.

We automatically DO NOT trust anybody who shows up on ML the same day they register with a suspect posting. We may be a shoddy ragtag group, but we kinda tolerate each other and don't take kindly to shills.
It would be very interesting to confirm that the website actually sold coupons/vouchers through the beta setup.

Hi, this is Susanne from ChompOn. Apologies for the confusion, since we didn't expect anyone to discover our site ahead of time.
Indeed those coupons currently listed were setup for testing purposes as samples for other restaurants / businesses to see and are not valid. We've since locked down the front page of the site.
We'll be launching on May 24th in New York with great local deals, so hope to see some of you guys then.

Indeed, there was a sign at the front of Ippudo that Chompon coupons were not being accepted.
