Lychee are just coming into season. Dungeness crab season is usually late Fall / Winter.
The large-ish Chinese supermarket on Northern Blvd always seemed super sketchy... I usually stick to Hanahreum for groceries if i'm in that area.

but korean markets don't have duck or lychee...or dungenese crabs or duck feet or ....

Are you going with a car or without?

Great Wall comes to mind, has a number of locations, but the one in flushing is on norther, just east of Main St. Theres also one further east (not sure of its English name though..); it just past Mad For Chicken, also on Northern, on the same side of the street. Orange signage/awning, pretty big to miss.

Hong Kong Supermarket on Main Street is the big one.
http://www.yelp.com/biz/hong-kong-supermarket-of-flushing-flushingAlso try one of the supermarkets on opposite sides of Main Street under the LIRR tracks(intersection of Main Street and Kissena Blvd -- this area appeared on an episode of USA's "White Collar"!!)

Hong Kong is the biggest and most user friendly, more Chinese. Han Yan is more Korean and an amazing source for picking up cheap pork belly and real kim chee.
Also, across from the public library is a smaller market with some very good deals, I just picked up lobster at 4.99 a pound! Sounds to good to be true- but they were really good!

Hi there, long time reader first ever post on here because I felt compelled to the question since I live in Flushing. Here a few of my favorite places:
HK Super Market on Main street between 38th and 37th.
The markets underneath the LIRR on both sides of Main Street.
The super market across from the Flushing Library on Kissena between 41 street and Barclay Ave.
Kam Sen Foods, 41-79 Main street between Sanford and Maple Aves.
I wish I can give you the names of these places but I'm not too aware of exact English names when I do my grocery shopping. I pretty much wander from place to place to see which store has the better deal for what I'm looking for.
I've been buying pineapples lately. They are super sweet right now!

I've been meaning to visit a large Chinese supermarket in Flushing for a long time and it looks like this Saturday is the day.
Anyone knows which market I should go? and what items I should buy? I'd like to get some fresh duck(maybe duck legs). Are lychee in season?
are dungenese crabs a good buy?
