Hah. I read that and thought, wtf does oms stand for. Google led me to : oh my science. Ok so she's an atheist, but luckily still thought it was odd and searched oms on this site. Man I should be a detective. Thx

now i bet you're curious about what the food is like.

Trini Paki Boys. Try the doubles. They're right next to El Rey del Sabour.
-
El Rey Del Sabor is the best cart in the city: 49th and Park.
-
Toasties on 48th between Madison and 5th may be a "generic deli" in the eyes of some here, but it has such great hot food (they call it "comfort food") and a huge selection of sandwiches that I have to recommend it for when you need a break from street meat.

Toasties is such a good go to, it may be a generic deli, but at least they do it better then the rest. Also, joy curry is right there, hop won is great, blue flower... and then the rest of things people already mentioned.
-
Joy Curry was my go-to Indian joint when I worked in that area. So much better than Minar (my current go-to Indian).
-
My only complaint about Joy is that the chicken can be dry, so I typically go vegetarian (spinach/chickpeas) only with some tika sauce on the rice, soo tasty, if only I still worked so close.

I'm likely moving offices to 46& park from 49&7th. Will miss margon and biryani cart certainly, but excited about some of the new places that will be part of the new rotation. Already planning on the east side kwik meal, happy about el ray sabor being closer, know about xpl, steak truck, uncle gussys, papa perrone, but what other places, cart or not, do I need to know about on the new location? Thx
