The trend will never end. Commoditization of Asian cuisine at it's best (worst?)

They can be found downtown, in the burg, at the green market, or followed on (you guessed it) twitter. anyone hit this place up? I think that, although it is a cute concept, it can't possibly be worth the trouble.

I mean, if they're gonna sell hotdogs, at least take pointers from the korean lady that did the french fry coated frank. now THAT's a place i would regularly visit

i think so? kinda. you're referring to korea actually getting somewhere during the world cup run a few years ago.

    ... jk.

I've had these things a few times at the Brooklyn Flea in Ft. Greene. The banh mi one is pretty good, but the one with braised pork belly on top of it is SERIOUSLY worth eating. They're pretty inexpensive, too.

good timing. my friend just asked me to go with her this weekend to try out the hotdogs. i guess we're going to try out the entire menu.

i'll keep you posted and also pay special attention to your pork belly rec. thanks :)

I had meees a steamed china town pork bun for a snack after dinner. Yumz!

the pork belly was comforting. :) though it could have used a little more something. also, i wished they had hot sauce

i liked the ito (jap curry) better than the pork belly. but the best for me was probably the mash, mostly because i'm a sucker for mustard and potato chips.

vinh (banh mi style) wasn't that good. the flavors were right but the cucumber made it soggy after a couple of minutes. i hate soggy bread.

service was good but a bit slow.

@ an easy $3 each, despite the personal hit or miss, i'd still recommend this place. it's just a matter of finding 'your' hot dog. once you do, you might get hooked.

    Dean,

I haven't tried the curry one yet. That will be next on my list. I do have to admit a serious affection for the idea of rolling a hot dog in mashed potato chips.
