Yeah, at Loreley. Despite how good they smell, the ones on the street have always sucked.

I have fond recollections of hot pretzels and mustard from an icecream truck that did the bensonhurst public school circuit. It was a knockoff truck, not "mister softee", but something like "dan" or something. I'll have to ask some old friends.

i want to severely injure all those hot dog vendors on the street corners who make that awful burnt smell with the hot pretzels...seriously nauseating.

I am not even kidding--
SUPERPRETZEL! Screw the street pretzel! These babies are the best! You salt them yourself, make them yourself, and I swear, 10 times better than any street pretzel I ever had....

In elementary school in Marine Park they used to sell HUGE soft pretzels at lunch. They were awesome.

Although it's neither in midtown nor on the street, Cafe Katja on the LES rolls an incredible hot pretzel and serves it with liptauer cheese. I could eat a thousand of them.

Didn't the hot pretzels in NYC used to be fantastic? Why do they all suck now? Has anyone had a good one lately? I think Philly now lays claim to the best hot pretzels in the country.
