it's not very good, perse... but tomato deli on 52nd bw 3rd and lex has an udon station. it does its trick when you really need it. i tried the shrimp tempura in there once. bad idea. i'm guessing Onya on 49th bw park and lex is too far for you?

oops. i meant 47th bw lex and 3rd.

There's a generic deli on 43rd btw Lex and 3rd that serves korean food. I just want these places to stand out by start serving korean fried chicken like they do at MFC! I mean it can't be that hard to do it if they already have all the marinades and sauces for the other foods, right?

azure on sw corner of 51st and 3rd is a huge korean style deli. has a per-pound buffet style section and sammies and pizza too. not sure if they have udon or bi bim bap but i think i once saw them put out some jap chae.
(funny i should rec them because i hate their guts for being unsympathetic when I slipped on their wet steps and cut my shin.)

I know i am in trouble by asking for a genetic midtown deli but I sometimes need a good bowl of udon soup or bi bim bab which i can't get from a mexican cart.
any suggestion?
