Grubstreet and Midtownlunch.com reported yesterday the truck would be on Broadway between 41 and 42. Actually, the truck wound up on 42 Street, right off Broadway.

The truck was on my way to work and I was really early...so I stopped by for lunch.

It is really a snack instead of "lunch". It is basically a sample of their airplane food, supposedly a Joel Robuchon creation (he oversees their inflight dining program).

Lunch was a cucumber and a smoked salmon chunk on a toothpick, a 2" piece of beef (with wine truffle sauce)on another toothpick, and a 1" chunk of potato gratin, and a petit four.

It was tasty. I wouldn't go out of my way to check it out, but it was good!

Also note, I waited on line 20 minutes. I was early to work, so I was killing time. However, I would probably wouldn't wait 20-30 minutes for it otherwise.

I really didn't expect to get a full lunch for free. Hey! Free is free!! Thanks again midtownlunch.com!

So if you enjoy airplane food samples, freeloaders engage.

actually went back today again for "lunch". The truck was suppodesly parked right outside work. Well, like yesterday they aren't where they said they would be.

I mean...did they REALLY thing they were gonna roll up on 5th Avenue and park a truck? Really?

Well, for those who are looking for the truck, they are parked on 51 Street today, right off 5th Avenue on the NW corner.

"lunch" was the same as yesterday (Lunch was a cucumber and a smoked salmon chunk on a toothpick, a 2" piece of beef (with wine truffle sauce)on another toothpick, and a 1" chunk of potato gratin, and a petit four.)

NO LINE today. Probably because noone would know where to find them if they aren't where they said they would be.

Damn French aren't very detailed oriented. :-)
