Check the Chinese take-out places. I know Fusion Grills sells brown rice.

China Gourmet (on 8th ave btw 51/52) has brown rice. and its doesnt even cost extra! Uncle Gussy's I believe does as well.

As deanlo said. Yip's (52nd between 5th and 6th) has a sign saying it's a dollar extra, for example.

The Pump has brown rice but I'm not sure if they sell it as a side. You could also try Korean delis in your area.

The Cafe Dukes sell ogokbap, or 5 grain rice, for I think a $2.50 suppl. It's got millet, barley, beans, etc so its got more nutrition and fiber than white rice.
Mooncake Foods also has brown rice as a side.

if you're further downtown/west i know both chef yu (8th between 36th and 37th) and ichiban (8th between 30th and 31st) sell sides of brown rice. not on their menus but i've gotten it from both places before.

@alluncher - how much did you pay for the side?
Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Does anyone know of a place that sells a side of brown rice (not the street carts)? Thanks.
